The ISCC PLUS (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) certification, issued by an accredited third-party certification body for the Elachem S.p.A. facility in Vigevano, certifies the sustainability and traceability of the raw materials used in specialized chemical manufacturing. The certification guarantees compliance with stringent international sustainability standards through the adoption of the Mass Balance chain-of-custody approach. Specifically, the certification scheme covers the use of raw materials belonging to the Bio, Bio-Circular, and Circular categories for the production of high-performance sustainable polyesters. Through this certification, Elachem ensures the integration of renewable and recycled-based feedstocks throughout its production value chain, promoting the transition towards a bio-based economy and reducing the carbon footprint of its polymer products, while ensuring full compliance with environmental protection principles and industrial transparency requirements.
