Certifications
The OK biobased certification, issued by an accredited third-party certification body for the Elachem S.p.A. facility in Vigevano, certifies the share of renewable carbon content (biobased carbon) contained in the company’s chemical and elastomeric products. The certification covers both a formulation classified as Class 2, with a biobased carbon content of 41%, and a formulation used to produce polyurethane insoles, classified as Class 1 with a biobased carbon content of 26%. This internationally recognized certification ensures a scientific and transparent assessment of the biological raw materials used by Elachem in its polymer systems, confirming the progressive replacement of fossil-based resources and the company’s ongoing commitment to the development of sustainable materials backed by a recognized environmental label.
